About the tournament
UTLC CUP is a social  project by UTLC ERA, which brings together the Eurasian countries under the slogan “Young Eurasian Stars”*. The scope of the project includes international youth football and hockey tournaments. The official partner of the project is Open Joint Stock Company Russian Railways (OJSC Russian Railways).

2017

The first UTLC CUP among U-14 teams took place at Sapsan Arena in Moscow on August 18–21, 2017. The tournament lasted four days, and the teams played five matches among themselves. The winner was Moscow Locomotive. A Chinese team made its first appearance in Russia.

2018

The second international UTLC CUP 2018 among U-14 football teams took place in Moscow on
August 14-19. The Cup brought together young football players from Europe and Asia.

The 2019 UTLC CUP – Young Eurasian Stars was attended by ten teams from nine UEFA and AFA national football associations: the youth teams of Locomotive (Moscow), Barcelona (Spain), Lyon (France), Zhejiang Greentown (China), Dynamo (Minsk), Borussia (Dortmund), Inter (Italy), Astana (Kazakhstan), Yokohama Marinos (Japan), and CSKA (Moscow). 25 matches were played at Sapsan Arena during the five-day tournament with 250 participating athletes and 98 goals scored. The final match at RZD Arena was won by Barcelona (Spain), which outplayed Locomotive (Moscow) on penalties. Yokohama Marinos (Japan) took home the bronze.

In 2019, the project also ventured into a new area: UTLC ICE CUP 2019, the first international youth hockey tournament, was held in Astana. It brought together hockey players from five Eurasian countries under the slogan “Young Eurasian Stars”. The tournament was hosted by Barys, Kazakhstan.

It brought together hockey players from five Eurasian countries under the slogan “Young Eurasian Stars”. The tournament was hosted by Barys, Kazakhstan. The young players representing Yaroslavl railways left no chances to their rivals and won of the tournament.

2021

In 2021, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the second UTLC ICE CUP, where the home team of Torpedo (Nizhny Novgorod) was confronted by CSKA (Moscow), SKA (St. Petersburg), Avtomobilist (Yekaterinburg), as well as Dynamo and Barys representing Belarus and Kazakhstan, respectively. CSKA (Moscow) won the tournament by outplaying their fellow young athletes representing SKA (St. Petersburg) with a 2:1 score. Avtomobilist took home the bronze by outplaying Barys (Nur-Sultan) with a 5:2 score in the third place play-off.

The award ceremony for the tournament winners and best players was attended by Alexey Grom, JSC UTLC ERA CEO, Alexey Mamontov, Sports Director of the Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation, and Alexander Kharlamov, General Director of Torpedo.

2022

UTLC CUP 2022 was held in Moscow in 2022 despite the challenging geopolitical situation and was attended by eight football teams from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Serbia. 16 matches were played at Sapsan Arena during the five-day tournament with 55 goals scored.

2023

The 5th edition of the UTLC CUP 2023 International Football Tournament took place in Moscow on August 14–19, 2023 Sapsan Arena and RZD Arena hosted exciting games between teams from Russia (Lokomotiv, CSKA, Zenit), Belarus (Dinamo), Kazakhstan (Astana), Turkey (Fenerbahçe, Fatih Karagümrük) and Serbia (Crvena Zvezda). The competition days were full of fascinating events, amazing goals, wins and thrills.

Crvena Zvezda beat CSKA Moscow 3-0 in a big game and became a two-time winner of the UTLC CUP. Lokomotiv beat Zenit St. Petersburg 4-3 in the third place match and won bronze medals.

2023

Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) won the UTLC ICE CUP 2023, the third young hockey stars tournament that took place in Barys Arena (Astana, Kazakhstan).
In the final match, they beat their age peers from Traktor (Chelyabinsk), 2:1. Bronze medals went to SKA players who overcame Barys in the third place match (4:3).
Six best Eurasian hockey schools took part in the tournament: Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl), Traktor (Chelyabinsk), SKA (Saint Petersburg), Barys (Astana), Metallurg (Magnitogorsk), Dinamo (Minsk).
Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation CEO Aleksey Mamontov, UTLC ERA First Vice CEO Daulen Rakhmetullin, Rosatom Central Asia Vice CEO Ruslan Nurallin and Counsellor-Minister of the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan, Yuri Melnik, were present at the awards ceremony.

2024
On 13–18 August 2024, Moscow hosted the 6th International Football Tournament UTLC CUP 2024.
This season saw the debut of young athletes from the “Spartak” academy and footballers from Serbia’s “Partizan”.
Teams from a total of five countries played in the international tournament – Russia (“Lokomotiv”, “CSKA”, “Spartak”), Serbia (“Crvena Zvezda”, “Partizan”), Turkey (“Fatih Karagümrük”), Belarus (“Dinamo Minsk”) and Kazakhstan (“Astana”).
“The young yet determined athletes, true professionals of the sport, played bold, beautiful football to the delight
of dazzled spectators!” remarked Alexey Grom, General Director of UTLC ERA JSC.
In the final, “Lokomotiv” outplayed Serbia’s “Crvena Zvezda” – defending champions over the past two years – with
a final score of 3:1, with the Serbian visitors taking home the silver. The bronze went to “CSKA”, who beat “Dinamo Minsk” in the match for third place with a score of 1:0.
UTLC CUP and UTLC ICE CUP are held annually
and are becoming a truly unique meeting ground
for the best Eurasian football and hockey teams.
