UTLC to boost transportation almost 10 Times, to 1 million TEUs, by 2025

Moscow, April 18. – JSC United Transport and Logistics Company (UTLC, set up by Belarusian, Kazakhstan and Russian railways) is going to boost transportation almost 10 times on 2016, to 1 million TEUs, by 2025, told Mr. Alexey Grom, the Company’s CEO, to RIA Novosti on the sidelines of TransRussia global show.


Asia – Europe transit transportation across Kazakhstan, Russia and Belorussia in UTLC container trains more than doubled in 2016 y-o-y and exceeded 100,000 TEUs.

"Our operational objective is to reach the volume of 1 million TEUs in this corridor (by 2025. - Editor), and the management will do its best to accelerate the event,” told Grom. Therefore, transportation will grow by almost 10 times by 2025.

According to him, the strategy envisages that this indicator will be achieved in 2025; but the Company sees the market trends may possibly allow more ambitious forecasts in the near term. "And include higher transportation volume indicators into our mid-term three-year plan," noted Grom.
